Classic Drinks

Classic Drinks Ltd joined the H.I. group in early 2001 and was born out ofthe purchase of part of the Tavern Group, the drinks wholesaling company of De Vere. Classic is a general drinks delivered wholesaler to the trade, principally in the North and Midlands.

Halewood Romania

Although an importer of Romanian wines prior to the overthrow of theCeausescus, Halewood International capitalised on the opportunities offered due to greater freedoms by being involved with the first joint venture in the wine industry formed between Romanian and Western companies and private individuals (Vinexport Trading Company Ltd.) Since that development Halewood International has expanded its intereststhrough the majority ownership of Halewood Romania Ltd, a company founded in Bucharest in 1997 and controlling Cramele Halewood SA (Halewood Winecellars SA, established 1949) – see International – and Halewood Estates Ltd.
