Thinking Global, Understanding Local

The company’s entrepreneurial spirit and drive meant it was never likely it would limit its ambitions to the UK.

From the late 1980’s we were already well on the road to international expansion working in what was then Communist Romania to track down fine, good value wines for export.

But it wasn’t until the mid 1990s that we really became a global business as we started exporting spirits to everywhere from France to Japan, Russia to South Africa and Spain to Greece.

Our international business has gone from strength to strength and we now export more than 500,000 case of a wide variety of products to more than 40 countries around the globe.

But we are much more than a successful UK business with a healthy export trade. We’ve acquired a brewery in South Africa as a platform for expansion, we’ve set up joint ventures in China and we’ve even got wine production facilities and vineyards in Romania.

We’ve taken our approach of thinking big but acting smart to new levels with the expansion of our international business but have remained true to our values of creativity, flair and independence.

With so much going on internationally, it is difficult to know where to start telling the story in more detail, so why not click on one of the links below to find out a little more about our operations around the globe?
