Tsingtao Legacy of Taste is back for 2009!

The search for Britain’s favourite Chinese restaurant, as voted for by the Public, was launched in Manchester at the site of last year’s winner, Yang Sing. Owner of Yang Sing, Harry Yeung is pictured below launching the event with the Tsingta branded Tuk Tuks – which have been out in Manchester and London.

This year’s competition see’s 6,000 of Britain’s Chinese restaurants encouraging their customers to vote for them as this year’s winner – to be crowned champion in an awards ceremony this November.

Tsingtao 2009 London Dragon Boat Race

In July 2009, the Tsingtao Warriors, ably assisted by the Publican, splashed their way to 42nd place in the 2009 London Dragon Boat Race.

A full day of festivities occurred on the Thames at the London Regatta Centre, which saw teams from all over the UK compete for the title of Dragon Boat champion of 20-09.

Tsingtao Beer, distributed exclusively by Halewood international, is the 5th fastest growing PPL in the UK, and the 10th biggest beer brand in the world, not only sponsored the event, but also provided the Bar.

Lamb’s Spiced Launch Six Delicious New Cocktails for the On-Trade

Lamb’s Spiced Rum, produced by leading drinks manufacturer and distributor Halewood International, has created and launched a delicious collection of six Lamb’s Spiced cocktails with the expert help of Brand Ambassador and leading mixologist, Gary Hayward.

The cocktails have been created for use in the On-Trade, specifically by independent style bars, a sector which Lamb’s Spiced Rum is actively targeting for listings, however some of the cocktails are suitable for larger outlets. The collection which includes: Chilled Gecko, Spiced Strawberry Daiquiri, Spiced Gecko, Old Spiced, Silence of the Lambs and Lamb’s Spiced Tea, delivers a unique taste with a refreshing twist of spice. The fusion of traditional and contemporary ingredients gives the Lamb’s Spiced Rum cocktails a distinctive taste which enlightens and pleasures the palate.

Crabbies Alcoholic Ginger Beer on Tour!!

With all eyes on Glastonbury, the festival season it truly upon us, and to celebrate the Crabbie’s team dusted off their wellies and headed to the traditional Glastonbury warm up event Goldcoast Oceanfest in Devon on 19th-21st June.

Jason Miaz and special guest Newton Faulkner brought the house down as did Crabbie’s with some amazing feedback from everyone who tried it. With a sold out capacity of 15,000 people over the weekend, we sampled 2,500 consumers whilst the Crabbie’s Bar sold over 10,000 bottles! Many consumers commented on ‘how refreshing’ and ‘what a perfect summer drink’ it was, with many saying they preferred it to their usual summer tipple!

The Crabbies team then visited Wimbledon on 4th-7th July where they sampled Crabbies and helped spread the word around queuing tennis fans!

The following week the team were off again to Taste Birmingham on 9th-12th July where they sampled over 12,000 people and sold 11,000 bottles to the general public. A great result!!

The Crabbie’s camper vans have also toured Glasgow, St Ives, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Devon, Newquay, Southampton and Brighton so far gaining support for both the product and our campaign to get Cliff Richard to number 1.

Next stop is Bristol and Birmingham next week!

All in all it has been a fantastic (spiffing) start to the summer campaign, which see’s us visiting 21 cities across the summer .

Crabbies Alcoholic Ginger Beer hits Facebook!!

Last week we launched CAGB to the world of social media to drive brand awareness of the brand and promote our “Get Cliff to Number One” campaign.

On Facebook we have created a group entitled “We’re all going on a Summer Holiday…Give Cliff a No1 this decade” where we already have 142 members! In addition, we have made a “fanpage” for the brand, to find this type in “Crabbies” in the search box and become a fan – we have 93 fans so far!

In addition, a dedicated fan of Crabbies has created his own group entitled “Make Crabbies Ginger Ale the Drink of the Summer” – here we’ve seen consumers discussing how much they love Crabbies and where they are buying their stock from! This is great consumer driven PR for the brand!
