Halewood International, leading independent drinks manufacturer and distributor has reported the biggest ever growth in sales for its VS brand since it launched in 2000.

Bucking the RTD trend, which is seeing the fruit refreshment sector in heavy decline (-17%), VS is enjoying a massive growth of +25% and is the fastest growing RTD brand in the UK.

VS is a refreshing vodka style fruit RTD, which offers retailers great value for money, targeting young adults. With a low abv of 4% and a choice of 8 flavours including Lemon, Dandelion & burdock, Iron Brew, Blue, Apple and kiwi, Tropical, watermelon and cherry, VS is a popular choice for young women as a lighter alternative to spirits or wine, or to enjoy as a refreshing summer day time leisure drink with friends.

Hannah Blackburn, Brand Manager for VS comments: “We have noticed a steady increase in VS sales over the past 2 years; however in the last 12 months we have seen a major uplift in sales as customers look for a cheaper alternative to branded variants. VS offers excellent value for money and a quality tasting product.

“We have seen the biggest increase in sales coming from the Off-Trade but closely followed by the On-Trade. We will continue to invest in the promotion of VS in both the On and Off-Trade for the coming year and expect further growth.”
