In just over thirty years Halewood International has gone from being a Yorkshire based start up company to the UK’s largest independent drinks manufacturer and distributor with a turnover in excess of £250 million and more than 1,500 employees worldwide.

The company has grown and thrived on innovation, creativity and energy having been established in 1978 by visionary entrepreneur John Halewood.

More than thirty years later, his passion and enthusiasm for the business remains undimmed in his current role as the company’s Chief Executive and major shareholder.

It is this passion and vision combined with the wide ranging talents of staff and management that have helped us  to our current position where we manufacture and distribute some of the UK’s best known alcoholic drinks brands from Lambrini to Lamb’s Navy Rum, from Tsingtao Chinese Beer to Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer and From Red Square Vodka to Reloaded.

Our portfolio currently spans wines and wine style drinks, beers and ciders, spirits and speciality and ready to drink (RTD) products, but our success in the UK is only half the story.

From our headquarters on Merseyside, the company controls operations from South Africa to Romania and as well as manufacturing our own brands and products, we are able to offer the drinks industry some of the most sophisticated packaging and production facilities in the UK on a contract basis.

The company has always adopted a think big attitude from the outset, but the ability to retain its entrepreneurial spirit over more three decades is what has allowed us to work smart and  that is what sets us apart from the competition.
